Inflammation

hs-CRP on TRT

What the number means, why it moves on a protocol, and what people usually do about it.

Updated 2026-09-26 · Part of the Magno guides

What it is

High-sensitivity CRP is the general inflammation marker. It rises with infection, injury, body fat, poor sleep and hard training, and it adds to cardiovascular risk when it stays up.

The range

TRT-aware target

under 1 mg/L

How to read the lab range

Under 1 mg/L is low risk, 1 to 3 average, above 3 high. Above 10 is usually an infection or injury, not a lifestyle number.

How Magno reads it

Import the PDF or a photo of the report and Magno finds hs-CRP on it, keeps every test on one line, shows the change since the last one, and reads it against TRT-aware thresholds rather than the lab's generic range. The panel it belongs to, Inflammation, gets a written verdict with the probable causes and what people usually do.

Questions people ask

CRP 4 after a hard week of training?

Expected. Rest three days and retest; a lifestyle CRP is a trough number, not a post-workout one.

Not medical advice

This is how experienced TRT users read the number and what they usually do about it. Every decision about your protocol belongs to you and a clinician who knows you.
